About

This is your invitation to step into

                          My World,

I'm Joanna Iris, a multidisciplinary artist, licensed massage therapist, and sensory architect.

From my earliest memories, I understood what it felt like to live without harmony, safety, or emotional regulation. My childhood was shaped by instability, trauma, and the absence of the guidance every child deserves.

When I was eleven years old, I found myself navigating life largely on my own. Like many children raised in difficult circumstances, I spent years wondering what was wrong with me. I searched for answers, trying to understand how our earliest experiences shape the way we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us.

Over time, I came to realize that nothing was inherently wrong with me. My nervous system had simply adapted to the environment it was raised in. It learned to constantly scan for danger, to remain vigilant, and to survive. It didn't know how to rest because it had never truly been taught what safety felt like. Healing became the process of teaching my body something new, how to calm my nervous system, activate my parasympathetic response, and discover that peace wasn't weakness, but a biological necessity.

That realization changed everything.

It began a lifelong journey of healing, self-discovery, and understanding the profound relationship between our environments and our well-being. I discovered that the nervous system is constantly responding to the world around us, to light, sound, scent, texture, space, and atmosphere.

I learned that a calm environment is a nurturing environment.

It creates space to breathe.

To feel safe.
To let go.
To reconnect with ourselves.

That understanding became the foundation of my work today.

Whether through therapeutic bodywork, thoughtfully designed environments, photography, or the evolving expression of sensory architecture, everything I create is guided by a single intention:

To create spaces and experiences that help people feel safe enough to simply be.

What should I expect during my first visit?

Every session begins with a brief conversation about your goals, health history, and any areas you'd like to focus on. From there, your experience is thoughtfully tailored to support your body, your comfort, and your nervous system.

What makes your work unique?

Massage is only one part of the experience.

The most effective therapeutic work begins by creating an environment where the nervous system feels safe enough to soften. Through a calming sensory atmosphere, the flowing roots of traditional Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, and modern clinical techniques, each session is designed to help the body breathe, trust, open, and receive the work more fully.

Every detail is intentionally curated to support the nervous system and guide you from survival toward restoration.

Do I have to talk during my massage?

Not at all.

Some clients enjoy conversation, while others prefer complete silence. Your session is your time, and you're welcome to relax in whatever way feels most restorative.

Are gratuities expected?

No.

My rates are all-inclusive, and gratuities are never expected nor requested. I believe in transparent pricing, so the investment you see is the complete cost of your experience. The greatest compliment you can give is referring a friend, leaving a review, or returning when your body needs care again.
